The Apollo 1650 Dual Opener is a practical system that allows for easy installation. Because this opener uses a low voltage charge, it is unnecessary to run 110AC to the gate. Also, the low voltage design allows the customer to use a household outlet within 1,000 ft. of the operator by running a 14-guage low voltage wire between the two. For customers who are eco-friendly, or who wish to save on electrical bills, it is also possible to use a solar panel to charge the battery with the same wire. The Apollo 1650's large-sized NEMA 3R control box can hold a larger battery than many other units. This means the unit has the capacity for extra power storage with a deep cycle battery (not included), providing enough energy for up to 300 cycles (15 seconds in each direction), or approximately 30 days of use before the necessary recharge.
In addition to the Apollo 1650's low voltage convenience and eco-friendly options, the unit is designed for convenience and versatility. This system is American-made in Texas, and was designed with ranch applications in mind. Because it can be mounted on nearly any side of the gate, as well as operate on either pull or push to open functions, the unit can be installed to fit the design of the customer's property.
The Apollo 1650 Dual Opener is a practical system that is easy to install, especially with the DIYGateOpeners.com additions for a bolt on application to any size post. This is the agricultural version of the Apollo line.
